DWS Logistics Inc. was incorporated on August 19, 2002 and opened its doors for business on December 1, 2002.
DWS started from humble beginnings with one client in a small 30,000 sq ft warehouse in Hamilton, Ontario. As DWS began to acquire more customers, they continued to open more facilities and in 2007 took the giant leap to expand out west in Richmond, British Columbia. DWS was leaving the small business environment and entering the medium-sized business world.
They had a warehouse management system that would allow them to grow without additional capital and effectively compete in the Canadian and North American marketplace.
By 2017 the capacity had grown to 755,000 sq ft with coverage in Eastern and Western Canada and the business was in a stable position.
On February 12, 2018, DWS became a part of a larger corporation through an acquisition made by Mullen Group Ltd. The acquisition was built on the Mullen Group’s strategy of making investments in the Trucking/Logistics segment tied to servicing the consumer products section. It was their first step into the Value-Added Warehousing and Distribution Services.
